We are hiring a Communications Director to act as the primary relationship owner and strategic lead for our church and nonprofit clients.
Role Summary
The Communications Director is the main point of contact for churches and Christian nonprofits that rely on Vibrant Agency for marketing and communications support. While this role functions operationally as an account manager, it is far more relational and strategic in nature.
This person helps guide marketing strategy, provides creative and art direction, coordinates media and marketing tasks, leads weekly client meetings, and ensures each client feels supported, understood, and cared for. The goal is for clients to feel like you are part of their ministry or organization—not an outside vendor.
This role is ideal for someone with experience in marketing, communications, or project management who is organized, relational, and comfortable leading conversations with pastors, ministry leaders, and nonprofit leadership teams.
Key Responsibilities
Church & Nonprofit Client Management
- Serve as the primary communications lead for assigned church and nonprofit clients
- Build strong, trust-based relationships with pastors, ministry staff, and nonprofit leaders
- Lead weekly or recurring client meetings and planning sessions
- Act as the bridge between client vision and Vibrant Agency’s internal team
Christian Marketing Strategy & Direction
- Help shape marketing and communication strategies aligned with each client’s mission
- Provide creative and art direction for branding, websites, social media, campaigns, and content
- Ensure messaging reflects Christian values, organizational voice, and audience needs
- Guide clients on priorities, timelines, and best practices in church and nonprofit marketing
Project & Media Coordination
- Manage deliverables, timelines, and expectations across multiple client accounts
- Coordinate internal marketing, design, content, and media tasks
- Keep projects moving forward with clarity and accountability
- Identify issues early and proactively solve problems
Organization & Administration
- Track tasks, approvals, notes, and next steps
- Maintain clear documentation and communication
- Ensure nothing falls through the cracks

Required Experience
- Experience in marketing, communications, project management, or account management
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- High level of organization and follow-through
- Comfort leading meetings and managing multiple priorities
Preferred Experience
- Experience working with churches, ministries, or Christian nonprofits
- Familiarity with branding, content strategy, or digital marketing
- Background in agency or client-facing roles
