We are hiring a Social Media Manager to help churches and nonprofits strengthen their online presence, engage their communities, and communicate their mission effectively across digital platforms.
Role Summary
The Social Media Manager is responsible for planning, organizing, and overseeing social media content and campaigns for multiple church and nonprofit clients. This person works closely with clients and the Vibrant Agency team to ensure content is engaging, on-brand, and aligned with each organization’s mission and goals.
This role is ideal for someone who understands social media strategy, content planning, audience engagement, and digital storytelling, while also appreciating the unique needs of churches and Christian organizations.
Key Responsibilities
Social Media Strategy & Planning
- Develop and manage social media strategies for church and nonprofit clients
- Create content calendars and campaign plans
- Identify opportunities to increase engagement and audience growth
- Ensure messaging aligns with each client’s mission and values
Content Management
- Coordinate the creation and scheduling of social media content
- Write and edit captions, posts, and promotional messaging
- Review content for quality, accuracy, and brand consistency
- Collaborate with designers and content creators to develop engaging content
Community Engagement
- Monitor social media performance and audience engagement
- Identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement
- Support clients in building stronger online communities
- Provide recommendations based on platform best practices
Client Communication & Collaboration
- Work directly with clients to gather content and campaign information
- Participate in planning meetings and strategy discussions
- Communicate updates, timelines, and recommendations clearly
- Serve as a trusted social media resource for assigned clients

- Social media channels remain active, organized, and engaging
- Content consistently reflects client branding and mission
- Clients feel supported and confident in their digital presence
- Engagement and audience growth improve over time
- Campaigns are executed accurately and on schedule
Required Experience
- Experience managing social media accounts for organizations or businesses
- Strong writing and communication skills
- Familiarity with Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, and other major platforms
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Preferred Experience
- Experience working with churches, ministries, or nonprofits
- Knowledge of social media analytics and reporting
- Familiarity with content planning and digital marketing strategies
- Agency or client-facing experience
